There are some Yoga practice fundamentals that need to be acquired along with your yoga practice and yoga style.
How many times have you heard your yoga or meditation teacher say to stay at ease?
So many! It is an important quality in yoga and meditation but especially in life. You will notice that cultivating this attitude in your practice will be reflected in your life as well.
But what does it mean?
In the dictionary we find this definition:
“Free from worries or awkwardness”
Easier said than done right? Yes! I know, Problems and worries exist, so should we pretend nothing happen and not think about them in order to be maintain the ease attitude? NOOO! Absolutely absolutely not!
What I always tell my students is instead to try to open up, open up to whatever is there in the moment, comfort or discomfort on the physical layer, as much as on the mental layer, of the practice.
*Don’t reject anything, and don’t hold on to anything, good or bad that is the experience of the moment* Instead open up to it and let what arises during your practice flow with the breath.
There are many things out of our control, learning to accept and see the other side of the coin helps you live your practice more fluently, and life too!
I am more and more convinced that nowadays, softness; being at ease, is a important quality in life and on the mat.
The tendency when we grow old is to take everything too seriously, and many times reject change.
But if we could softness this tendency, what would our life be like?
